Welcome Back

Alright, I’ve been slacking. Or life got ahead of me. Either way, I have not posted a blog in a YEAR. So I’m back to give you some updates and let you know what to look out for next!

What’s Been Going On The Last Year?

Well, I am the mom of two small kids, have a husband, a dog, and work full time. . . Not to mention the sleep regressions that have occurred over the last year and a half. If someone has the key to balancing it all, please let me know. Before kids I hated it when people would say, “you can have it all, just not all at once.” I was defiant, indignant, maybe even outraged. How dare you tell me I can’t do everything perfectly all the time? I’ll show you.

Well. . . now I’m older, wiser, and more underslept. The last year has brought a lot of awesome things to my life, including: seeing my kids thrive in sports and activities, learn so much more about women’s health through continuing education and experience, and flying with a 7 month old to visit friends (we survived). But it also brought: my feet growing a half size in pregnancy and not returning to their previous size, more sensitive skin/skin issues postpartum, and learning to juggle the breakneck speed that life has started to travel at.

So What’s Coming Next

You’ll still find me on TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. I have a wee tiny little YouTube channel that I really hope to add more content to this year. If you have anything you would like to hear me discuss in more detail/longer videos, let me know!

I plan to be much more consistent on posting here, because we can’t all just scroll 1 minute videos, right? Sometimes we need to read!

I also want to make sure that this year I am including more educational materials that might help make your doctors visits easier (keep an eye out for things you could download or print and bring with you to your doctor!). And I want to make sure to keep covering those “awkward” topics.

Lastly, I want to discuss more about perimenopause and menopause. I think that world if finally opening up to discussion and we need to make sure we are meeting patients where they are with good quality information.

And A Big Thank You

I’ve been doing this for a few years now, and I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has been around since the beginning, and those who are just finding me. My main goal in making a website, getting on social media, etc., was to try and get as much women’s health information out there as possible. I can say the same thing over and over again to a handful of patients daily, but I can hopefully reach hundreds and thousands of people here on the internet. So thank you again for your support, your input, and for reading this far. And remember, there is no such thing as an awkward question.
